Pat started as an apprentice mechanic at an Austin Healy/MG/Jaguar/Fiat/Lotus/Toyota store in Waterloo and has been involved with sports car racing ever since. In the late 60's built and raced MG, Triumph, Ferrari, Jensen-Healey, Porsche, and Lola cars. Currently vintage races a 1972 Jensen-Healey.
Pat's wife, Katie, is a supervisor of student teachers at the University of Iowa. Daughter Kelley is a Child Life Specialist in Phoenix and son Riley is an engineer with Honda Research and Development.

Jeff has lived in the Iowa City area since 1974. Jeff taught English composition and literature at the U of Iowa and Kirkwood Community College. Jeff is a music and movie buff, especially from the 1970's. Jeff rised horses(hunter-jumper saddle) for fun. Jeff is a volunteer at Miracles in Motion in Swisher. Jeff's wife, Donna, is a research scientist at the Veterans' Admininstration Medical Center, has co-authored papers in Lancet and the New England Journal of Medicine, and has presented at international infectious disease conventions.
