Tor Nicklaus
Tor has been a manager at Carousel for over 10 years and has 20 years of automotive industry experience. He received his bachelors degree from the University of Iowa and his Masters degree in Accounting from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. Tor and his wife, Laura, reside in Iowa City with their 2 boys, August and Sam, who also share a love of cars.

Riley Lind
After a long time in the automotive industry, Riley finally joined Carousel Motors in sales in May 2012. He had grown up around the dealership and went into the engineering side as a designer for Honda for 3 years. After realizing that wasn't for him, he came back and eventually joined the team selling Audi and Mercedes.
In his spare time, Riley enjoys rebuilding vintage Jensen Healeys with his dad and documents it on his blog.

John comes to Carousel with 28 years of auto industry experience. He earned a BA degree in education from the University of Central Florida and was a teacher and coach before being drawn to the car industry. John specializes in new/preowned sales & leasing for the Audi, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen brands.
In his free time, John enjoys golf, nature walks and traveling with Vicki.

Often confused with the active governor of Illinois, Patrick has been with carousel since 2008. Patrick specializes in the sales and leasing of new/preowned Audi, Mercedes-Benz, VW, and Mazda. Patrick has a wealth of knowledge on the products we sell, as well as BMW and Volvo product.

Tom Akin
Tom has been selling Mercedes-Benz vehicles since 1988. During his years with Mercedes, he has owned and driven 240D, 190E, 300DT, 300D, SL380, C-230, E320S4, C3004 vehicles! In past years, Tom has been involved in drag racing on the national level (1970 top Stock National Champion), 1969 425/427 Kingswood Wagon (LEAD SLED), a feature winner at Tunis Raceway in Waterloo and involved with dirt stock car racing, currently still racing local Figure 8 races with his son. Tom enjoys golf, bowling and gourmet cooking in his free time.

Sanel Dzafic
Sanel (Sonny) has been with Carousel since 2006 and specializes in new/preowned sales and leasing. His love for German cars emerged when he was just a teenager. Sonny was born in Bosnia and as a young boy he moved to Germany where he lived for 5 years. After Germany, Sanel and his family moved to Des Moines where he received his bachelors degree from Grand View College. In his spare time, Sonny enjoys playing and watching futball, or as we Americans call it, soccer. His family recently grew in size as he welcomed his first son, Adis, to the world on 12/23.
Sonny speaks fluent German, Bosnian and of course English.

Ryan Galey
Ryan has been with Carousel Motors since 2010, starting off as a lot porter placing stickers on new inventory and fueling up sold cars. That is where his love began for German vehicles. Ryan now specialized in new/pre-owned Audi, Mercedes-Benz, VW, and Mazda. When Ryan is not at work, you can find him at the local Iowa sporting events or spending time with his friends and family at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.

Nathan Guillaume
Nathan’s passion for anything and everything automotive is what brought him to Carousel as a Mazda and Volkswagen brand specialist. A true car buff, Nathan is very knowledgeable of many different makes and models, especially the Japanese and German engineered cars available here.
Nathan is a performance car enthusiast, and when not helping his clients find the perfect car, he can be found in a garage working on his cars. On the weekends you can meet him out with his wife Mickena at the local SCCA Autocross, where he competes in his Evo while she runs the ladies segment in her Audi A3.

Allen Diercks
Allen has been with Carousel Motors since 1999 when he began as a Service Consultant. He bacame Service Director in August of 2004. Allen grew up in the car business as his father owned a Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership in NW Iowa. Even as a small child, Allen could be found in the servce department hanging out with the technicians and learning the ropes. Allen has been a multi-time recipient of Audi’s Magna Society and Mercedes Benz “Best of the Best”. Allen has developed a passion for all automobiles and racing. He has raced Go-Karts competitively and has also raced stock cars and late models in the recent past. Allen is also the crew chief of the Lind Bros. Racing Team which is piloted by Pat Lind driving the SCCA Championship Jensen Healey. Allen enjoys spending time with Family, being at the race track, Golf and Bowling. Allen and wife Amy have 5 children; Alena, Brady, Matthew, Michael and Ronald.
